Culinary Arts Teacher Arrested for DUI in Tampa
A Robinson High School culinary arts teacher was arrested in Tampa on March 5 for suspected DUI. Russel Alan Clark was arrested after Tampa Sheriff’s Deputies observed him driving 86 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone. Tampa DUI lawyers report that officers must have a reason to stop a car to check the driver. Speeding is one of traffic infractions that can show that a driver is less safe and possibly under the influence.
When the deputy approached the car, he stated that he could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage from about the person of the teacher. He told the deputy that he had about three glasses of wine at a Tampa dance club. He agreed to do field sobriety tests. The officer claimed that he did not do well on the tests and arrested him for DUI. He agreed to the state administered test which showed that his blood alcohol concentration was .156. The legal limit is .08.
